NDHP: Suspected drunk driver ejected from vehicle following crash in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) A man suspected of driving drunk was seriously injured after he was ejected from his vehicle during a car wreck, according to highway troopers.
In a media release, North Dakota Highway Patrol stated the 23-year-old driver from Fargo wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash on Interstate 29.
The incident happened at around 1:18 a.m. Saturday three miles south of Fargo.
A 2014 Ford Fusion was traveling at unknown speeds when it failed to slow down for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Patrick Hestbeck, 29, of Sabin, Minnesota.
The Fusion rear ended Hestbeck causing the car to enter the median, overturn, and land on its roof, according to NDHP.
That car’s driver was ejected from the vehicle and found a short time later by emergency personnel. He was taken to Essentia Medical Center where he’s being treated for his injuries.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in this crash and the incident remains under investigation, according to NDHP.
